"I feel like I now know how to live without being blown around by the winds of my OCD."Former patient, OCD treatment
Most people who reach me are high-functioning — outwardly successful, inwardly struggling. They arrive knowing something needs to change, and suspecting that the right kind of help could change everything. They are usually right.
About Guy
I began my clinical career in 2015, working within high-pressure acute settings that demanded both rigour and adaptability. That foundation — the discipline of evidence-based practice applied to complex, real presentations — informs every session I offer in private practice today.
I now work exclusively in private practice, online and one day per week in person at The Re-mind The Body Centre, near Queens Park station, North West London. My patients are often high-achieving professionals who have, until now, managed their difficulties alone. They come to me when managing alone is no longer enough.
I hold a diploma in CBT from Royal Holloway, University of London, and am fully accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Areas of Focus
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach — but structure alone does not create change. I bring 10+ years of clinical depth to each of these areas, and I am specific rather than general in how I treat them.
Specialist ERP-based treatment for all OCD subtypes, including contamination, harm, and intrusive thought presentations. One of my primary areas of clinical expertise.
GAD, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder and phobias. Evidence-based protocols tailored to the specific anxiety presentation — not a generic approach.
Clinical perfectionism that has crossed from asset into obstacle. Particularly common in senior professionals and high-achievers navigating pressure from multiple directions.
Burnout at senior level is not a motivation problem. It is a clinical presentation that responds well to structured CBT intervention. I work with this frequently.
Behavioural activation, cognitive restructuring and relapse prevention for clinical depression, including depression comorbid with anxiety or burnout.
CBT adapted for adults with ADHD — managing dysregulation, procrastination, and emotional reactivity using evidence-based, ADHD-specific techniques.
Specialist trauma therapy using EMDR and trauma-focused CBT. I work with single-incident trauma, complex trauma, and PTSD — helping clients process and move beyond experiences that have become stuck.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — an evidence-based, NICE-recommended therapy for trauma and PTSD. I am an accredited EMDR practitioner with extensive experience across a range of trauma presentations.
How I Work
A 50-minute assessment session where I listen carefully, ask precise clinical questions, and form a clear picture of what you're experiencing and what treatment would look like.
I develop a personalised CBT formulation — a clinical map of your difficulties, their origins, and the mechanisms maintaining them. This is the foundation of everything that follows.
Weekly 50-minute sessions, online or in person. CBT is active, structured, and collaborative. Most courses run 8–20 sessions depending on presentation and goals.
The final phase consolidates your progress and builds the tools to maintain it. Good CBT ends with you needing less of it — and knowing how to use what you've learned for life.
"He helped me understand, for the first time, not just what I was doing — but why. That distinction changed everything."
Patient Perspectives
"It's quite hard to describe how much you've helped me. I feel like I now know how to live without being blown around by the winds of my OCD. It was such a life-changing journey."
"When I first came to see you, I felt like my anxiety was running my life. I didn't really think that could change but looking back now, it really has. I feel more confident, more relaxed, and much more like myself again."
"Before we started, it felt like my past was always just beneath the surface. I could function, but just barely. The memories haven't disappeared, but I'm remembering them differently now. They no longer dictate how I live my life. For the first time in a very long time, I feel like I'm looking forwards instead of backwards."
Investment
My practice operates at the level of care that specialist private therapy should offer. Fees reflect the depth of clinical experience, the quality of outcomes, and the confidentiality of the service.
All sessions are self-pay. This allows me to work without the constraints of third-party involvement, giving you and I full control over the pace, focus, and duration of your treatment.
